Pride Month Grants

In honor of Pride Month, This Is About Humanity (TIAH) partnered with LGBTQIA+ shelters and organizations at the U.S.–Mexico border that provided critical services to LGBTQIA+ individuals and their families in highly vulnerable circumstances.

During Pride, TIAH matched donations dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, allowing the organization to grant a total of $50,000 toward essential needs. These included funding for a rotating psychologist to serve multiple LGBTQIA+ shelters, addressing food insecurity through food transport, and supporting a suicide prevention hotline for LGBTQ teens operated by It Gets Better Mexico, among other impactful initiatives.

Funds supported the following organizations:

• It Gets Better Mexico

• Centro de Servicios CSER

• Cobina A.C.

• COCUT Comunidad Cultural LGBTI A.C.

TIAH remained deeply committed to advancing equity and care for LGBTQIA+ communities at the border.
