TIAH Supports LGBTQ+ Organizations During Pride Month

During Pride Month 2020, we were proud to launch a $10,000 matching grant campaign in partnership with The Little Market and StoryPlace  to support amazing LGTBQ+ partner shelters and organizations at the U.S.-Mexico border providing critical life-saving work for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. 

Funds supported:

  • Casa Jardin de las Mariposas Tijuana LGBTQI+ shelter: Covid-19 relief response including PPE, cleaning and medical supplies; food for 30 residents and physician/nurse wages.

  • Casa ArcorisTijuana LBGTQI+ shelter: Covid-19 relief including COVID-19 kits, hygiene kits, healthcare and shelter operating expenses.

  • Centro Ser Tijuana LGBTQI+ community center: Tele-medicine; COVID-19 kits, hygiene kits, and  food pantry supplies for community inclusive of transgender women.

  • COBINA Mexicali LGBTQI+ community center: Covid-19 relief food and kitchen supplies for community kitchen serving over 500 people 3 meals a day.

  • It Gets Better Mexico : LGBTQI+ teen suicide prevention program at the CaliBaja border.
